OAT Membership and The Benefits at MultiSport Canada
MultiSport Canada is a proud member of the Ontario Association of Triathletes (OAT) and all of our races are OAT sanctioned. This year we have incorporated the OAT One-Day Membership fee into our race fees and there are no additional fees beyond what is posted on the website. If you already are an OAT member your race fees will be $5.00 less.
Please consider a full one-year membership with OAT. OAT membership
covers you for any OAT sanctioned race and the benefits go beyond race
day insurance
coverage. These benefits are outlined below or on the Ontario
Association of Triathletes website, www.triathlonontario.com
OAT Annual Membership Benefits
- A handy photo ID
- Certified OAT Officials at all sanctioned events to ensure safety and fairness
- You receive a subscription to Transitions, the official magazine of OAT, published at least four (4) times per year which includes training tips, news articles, race schedules and results
- You receive the annual spring mailing of entry forms for OAT sanctioned events
- You receive an invitation to the annual Awards Banquet
- Ontario Champions will receive training allowances to offset their training expenses in recognition of their achievement
- You have the opportunity to apply for an OAT Bursary (awarded on the basis of need, ability and contribution to the sport) to assist athletes with training expenses
- Through OAT you have a voice in the growth of the sport in Ontario and Canada
- On occasion you will receive FREE product samples and OAT product premiums
- Those who qualify have the opportunity to compete for Canada at the Triathlon, Duathlon and Long Distance World Championships
- You have reciprocal racing privileges in the ITU, with your insurance provided

- Anyone not purchasing an OAT membership may purchase "One-Day" memberships on a race by race basis.
- The full year membership is ALWAYS full price - if you race twice, paying "One-Days" each time, and then decide that you want the full year card, you will still be charged $40.00.
